The first thing we did in our free time in Tel Aviv was go to the Carmel Shuq. This is just shopping as you can see. If was a lot of fun. In this picture is Chelsie, Terry Ann, Marianne, and me. Tel Aviv is very different from Jerusalem. It is very much westernized and has a European feel. It was almost like being in America again. Almost. With the clothes that we are wearing in this picture we would probably still be considered imodest to some people in Jerusalem. In Tel Aviv we were probably the most modest.

I love this picture! i think it is so funny! Yep that is a guy wearing a big skirt. I didn't get his face but he was wearing makeup too. I never thought that i would see this in Israel. He looks like what i would expect to see in dowtown Seatle, San Francisco, or New York. :)
I thought the picture of the little girl with her parents with her little fairy wings on was so adorable! It was nice to see a father holding his childs hand. In Jerusalem you hardly ever see a father holding his child its always the mother.
